A Walk in the Woods


It is still winter in the Prince William Forest, but change is in the air. There is scarcely a bud to be seen, but the evening twilight is longer, the breeze that ruffles the withered, papery birch leaves is slightly more optimistic. However, for a dog, the chill temperatures still lingering in the air are no reason not to get in the water – after first having a thorough sniff of all leaves, branches, rocks, stumps, and interesting patches of dirt in the area.
